Let s rewind a few days. It was Sunday evening and the last thing I was thinking about was having to come up with material for this week s shows. Like many of you, Sunday is a day I mentally click the restart button before another busy working week. So, I was minding my own business, I got done with a nice boardwalk run, and as I was driving home to a plate of homecooked ravioli I saw something that made me laugh out loud. The back of the old Dunkin on Rt. 35 is literally in the front door of the brand new ShopRite. Picky, maybe? Hilarious, absolutely! The ShopRite/ Dunkin discussion feels like it has been going on forever and at this point, you have to have a sense of humor about the entire situation.
This week on Sinica, Jeremy Goldkorn, Gady Epstein, Will Moss, and David Moser join Kaiser to talk about the Guo Degang Affair. When a fight with the media at the famous comedian’s house became news, the incident sparked a week of heated public debate. This ended abruptly as authorities closed ranks, muzzled the outspoken comedian, and stepped-up an old-school campaign against the “three vulgarities.” Looking beyond the headlines, what does this tell us about the media in China and why does it matter?
On a different front, we also talk about the insidious phenomenon of China apologism. A lively debate over this topic has emerged in the Chinese blogosphere of late, especially regarding the controversial punditry of Shaun Rein. In an attempt to clear his name, Shaun joins us with an audio postcard and prompts a discussion of where the line should be drawn between presenting a nuanced perspective on China and defending the indefensible. When has someone simply gone too far?

Jason Statham has such a crack working with Guy Ritchie.
The 53-year-old actor loves working alongside the Hollywood director - who he has teamed up with on their new movie Wrath of Man - as he is always up for little lines or bits of improvisation .
He shared: I remember the first films I ever did with Guy Ritchie, we were doing Lock Stock and Snatch, and he was always up for little lines or bits of improvisation. I haven t done any of that since then but it is a great way to work because you get new stuff. It s priceless when it comes off and it s good.
More and more people are returning to work at their work location. Today is April Fools Day and you want to welcome your workmates back and remind them about the great sense of humor you have.
Remember that you have to work with them after today is over, so proceed with caution. On the other hand, if you have a co-worker that you don t want to speak to you ever again, these would be some awesome things to try today at work.
April Fools Pranks To Try At Work
Grab some Oreo cookies and replace the filling with toothpaste, bring them in and leave them on the table as a snack. If you really want to fool them, get a box of gluten-free Oreo cookies and replace the middle with toothpaste. Let your co-workers know about the new cookies and see if they notice the difference.
